Emotional Preferences

The emotional preferences were developed by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers based on the work by Carl Jung. As part of their work, they created the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.

These emotional-preference energies are perspectives similar to the emotional needs. There are eight of them and they are seen in the eight corners of the Humanity Gem

It’s beneficial that you take the MBTI and find your habitual emotional preferences. Once done you will be able to see where on the gem you typically travel. For instance, one with a T (thinking) preference will tend to experience emotions that revolve around the T corner

Eight corners shine, a cosmic sight,
A tapestry of souls, a guiding light.
Extravert’s embrace, a social gleam,
Introvert’s solace, a quiet dream.

Sensing’s grounded, practical and sure,
Intuition’s soaring, ever pure.
Thinking’s logic, reason’s might,
Feeling’s empathy, a radiant light.

Judging’s structure, order’s grace,
Perceiving’s flow, a boundless space.
A symphony of souls, a cosmic dance,
A masterpiece of life, a wondrous chance.
